Charles Triplett O’Ferrall

In whatever capacity he served, the record shows the service to have been one of distinction; of honor to his
State and of credit to himself – whether as Clerk of the Courts; Colonel of his Regiment; as member of the
Legislature and of Congress and finally as Governor of his State.

While he had a ready and an even flow of language, he was not what may be termed an orator; but as a debater
he was in his element and during his terms in Congress, often “locked horns” with the greatest.

Yes, Rockingham has reason to feel proud of Charles Triplett O’Ferrall.
