Limited Exhibit:

Transportation in the Shenandoah Valley 

Starting with early Native American trails that became wagon roads and then highways, and continuing up to the automobiles of the early 20th century, this exhibit portrays the way people got around during the early years of the Valley. Old photos and assorted artifacts along with descriptive text, present the various stages in the development of a transportation system that shaped the progress of life in Rockingham and surrounding counties.

Next exhibit starts 2nd week in June. It is Valley Weddings then and now: 1873 to 2008. Many wedding gowns covering the time period will be on display. It will also cover wedding history and traditions.
